Previous owners have provided Nova Vida with an interior that is well equipped, modern, and clean. Most equipment even works!
Provision for creature comforts include comfortable seating, hot and cold pressurized water, a small fridge, and a modern gas stove with oven and rotisserie. A shower wand in the bath/toilet cubicle makes it possible to keep clean. Headroom throughout the boat is adequate for people up to about six feet, but anyone taller than this or anyone wider than most is likely to find they are continually bumping into things. Bunks include doubles fore and aft, and the starboard seat in the saloon, which is fitted with a lee cloth. When sailing in anything other than smooth water the forepeak becomes uncomfortable for sleeping due to motion of the boat. It is mainly for this reason that we limited Nova Vida to a crew of three when cruising. A well equipped navigation station includes chart table with chart storage under, Garmin GPS, Furono radar, and radios for HF, VHF and 27meg bands. Safety equipment included 2 fireblankets, 4 fire extinguishers (powder type), lifejackets, an epirb, 2 tethering harnesses, plus the required Vee sheet and flares. Above deck was an inflatable liferaft, 2 buoys, and a danbuoy. A laptop computer was aboard for displaying weather faxes, optionally for navigating (containing charts for the whole world), and playing games. A stackable CD player was available for times when the music of the wind and the waves was not sufficient. |
